 Excellent for Bleeding Gums & Lasts a long time Feb 03, 2012

This toothpaste, which I initially discovered in a local Indian market, is excellent. I've had gum problems most of my adult life. Not only does this toothpaste help reduce the inflammation, it is very refreshing. The best experience I've had is to use it with an electronic toothbrush. Also, it seems to be concentrated so a little bit does the trick. They also make a Basil version, which is also quite good. The only other thing I've found to help is to take pure Clove oil, mix with Tea Tree Dr. Bronners liquid soap, add water and use as a mouthwash.

If you are looking for an alternative to mainstream toothpaste this may not be it as it contains Sodium Laurel Sulphate which you may or may not want to avoid. Also contains carrageenan, sodium silicate and sodium saccharin.
If you are looking for a homeopathic toothpaste this is not it as it contains spearmint oil.

I had such high hopes for this product, especially after reading the other reviews, but I absolutely hate this toothpaste and I can't believe (after shipping) I spent so much on it.
I only used it for a few days, so I can't speak to how well it works as a toothpaste, or if it helps with bleeding gums, as another reviewer mentioned. If I ever have bleeding gums, I'll give this a shot then and see if it helps. But here are the things I CAN speak to...
I didn't notice any improvement in my mouth pain or tooth sensitivity (I recently had my wisdom teeth out, and all my teeth have been hurting ever since), which is the reason I bought this toothpaste. They say clove has a numbing effect, and I thought it might lessen the pain.
And it leaves a BAD taste in your mouth, on your tongue. If you've ever tried Lunesta, and experienced the side effect of "bad taste in your mouth," this tastes exactly like that. If not, I can just say it's a heavy, bitter flavor on your tongue that lasts for hours. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE clove; it's another reason I bought this toothpaste. I love the smell, I love the taste, I cook with it, I bake with it, and I used to even smoke clove cigarettes! So it's not that I'm unaccustomed to clove, this just doesn't leave a lovely clove flavor lingering.
I hate to leave a bad review, but I wanted to give this warning, because I would not have bought this toothpaste if someone had described it the way I just did. I hope this saves someone else $7+ for one tube of toothpaste.
Also, I know this isn't the place to rate the seller, but I had no qualms with them whatsoever. It was shipped quickly and packaged well. Another reason I hate to leave this review.

I highly recommend this product as it is the most amazing toothpaste to prevent gum decay or dental decay in general plus its flavour is awesome and the smell it gives it is quite unique! i love it!
