Soft and melts in mouth like floss halva Nov 13, 2012
By Bean Slap This is similar to cotton candy except without the candy tart sweetness. The soft floss part is also more tightly fused together unlike the billowy cotton candy. It still has sweetness but it isnt fruity tart flavored but a warmer sweet flavor that tastes abstractely of rose water and vanilla and rather than leave a candy sugar ball texture in your mouth it melts. The top of soan papadi has pistachio nut crust and fuses well with the rest of the dessert. Very tasty!

By swann2b I tried this Soan Papdi and Soan Papdi cake for the first time today. It was melt in your mouth delicious ! I usually buy the fresh sweets, but a friend had picked this up for me as a surprise. I will never leave the Indian Grocery without packages of these tasty sweets in my cart. Must try, so very good !
